First Look at Chris Parker’s Major Women in ‘The Awesome Spider-Man 2′

Gwen, fulfill Linda Jane. Linda Jane, this is Gwen.

Shooting is under way for "The Awesome Spider-Man 2," and lovers got a glance of one of the story's more fascinating minutes today as images appeared of a landscape in which two of the women in Frank Parker's lifestyle fulfill, apparently for the first time. On one side, long time girl-next-door grind Linda Jane Watson; on the other, lovely nerd-girl girlfriend Gwen Stacy.

In the on-set images, Emma Stone, who performed Gwen in 2012's "The Awesome Spider-Man," is coming back in personality and wearing a slightly attractive clothing presenting a violet dress, designed clothing, black tights and high black shoes.

While Gwen looks like she is clothed up for a hot date, Shailene Woodley's Linda Jane seems more like the awesome lady who would go to Ozzfest with you. Woodley, best known as Amy on the TV sequence "The Key Lifetime of the United states Teenager" and for enjoying Alexandra in "The Enfant," is clothed in tight black denims, a retro-styled rock T-shirt, and a denims coat with set fleshlight sleeves.

Longtime supporters of the "Spider-Man" comedian tale will remember that Frank Parker (Andrew Garfield) split things off with Linda Jane to follow his heart and begin relationship Gwen, but gradually destiny took a terrible turn which introduced Frank and M.J. coming back together.

Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" trilogy, with Tobey Maguire in the lead, targeted mostly on the Peter/Mary Linda connection (with Kirsten Dunst enjoying M.J.), though Gwen did pop up in "Spider-Man 3," represented by Bryce Facilities Howard. The new images recommend home Marc Webb (also coming back for the 2012 reboot) is forcing the Gwen story more complicated than Raimi did, and that he's providing Linda Jane a deeper and edgier and more personal feel than Dunst's more gratifying and sunnier edition.

Aside from Garfield, Stone and Woodley, the follow up will also function Jamie Foxx as Electronica, Frank Cooper as Gary Osborn, and John Giamatti as the Rhinocerous. Mexico Pictures plans to have the movie in cinemas in May 2014.
